What: Drum Call provides free workshops with traditional West African dance instruction and live drumming. You can dance, listen, watch, learn, and celebrate our community!

Who can participate: Morse Elementary School and Putnam Avenue Upper School students, students’ family members, and staff. Participants under the age of 21 years must be accompanied and supervised by a caregiver who is 21 years of age or older.

When:

Friday, September 20th, doors open at 6:00 PM and workshop is from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Saturday, October 26th, doors open at 4:00 PM and workshop is from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM

ABOUT US

Drum Call connects school communities with the traditional music and dance of West Africa and helps build the school community in a joyful, celebratory setting. Drum Call was created by a team of Morse School caregivers and teaching artist and musician Joh Camara.
